Prop Driver
This Blender addon complements the introduced in 2.92. This is mainly a way to get transformation data from other objects into the shader graph. Before 2.92 you had to either set up or create to get for example the rotation of a sun lamp inside a shader. With the Prop Driver addon, you are now able to quickly transfer data from one object to another and use the Attribute node to access that data.
With update 1.1.0 you are now able to with uniform colors, vectors and values meaning that multiple objects may share the same material but with slightly different parameters, for example changing the color or roughness level of a metallic material. This and prevents your material stack from overflowing. This update also features a brand new User Interface: attributes and Prop Drivers will now be displayed in separate menus with options to change transform spaces, add nodes and node groups to the active node tree in one click or clearing out access properties.
IMPORTANT: A shortcut has been added to the Shader editor (Ctrl + Shift + A) to call the menu from which you will be able to add parameters to your materials.
This addon is absolutely free but donations are always highly appreciated.
You will get a .zip folder containing the addon. To install, go to Blenders Preferences > Addons > Install an choose the .zip folder.
