Node Extrude Addon
Node Extrude is a Blender Addon for the node editor. It introduces a new workflow which lets you build node trees way faster than before.
Most node based DCC packages let you extrude nodes from sockets by dragging out noodles into empty space. This allows the user to speed up their workflow by a great deal but Blender is missing this feature.
This addon has a very similar functionality and therefore patches up the holes in Blenders node workflow. Extruding nodes will be done with a dynamic and categorized context menu, displaying the most common nodes to connect to a particular socket type (for example the context menu for a vector output socket will contain a "Separate XYZ" option and a color input socket a "Combine RGB" option).
ONLY SHADER NODES ARE SUPPORTED AT THE MOMENT!
Expanding this feature to work with Geometry Nodes and Compositor Nodes is goal for the near future.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR MAC AT THE MOMENT!
